Baking Part 1: Marble Cake

Yeah its my semester break. Break from my studies though no breaks for my house chores T.T
Hahaha! But I took up a hobby where I can do in the kitchen! Baking!

Well, after so many research and online searching, I came up with the conclusion that baking could be fun after all. All the sudden I wanna bake butter cake, chocolate cake and stuffs and so on >.<

So today its I started with Marble cake. I wanted to make butter cake actually but then I changed my mind and decided to whip some marble cake. I followed Naked Chef Original's recipe from Youtube.

Here are the ingredients:

225g of buttercup butter
225g of castor sugar (U can get it in any supermarkets)
225 self raising flour (if u use all purpose flour the ingredient will be a lil different- u need extra salt and baking powder)
4 eggs
1 and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence
2 table spoon of cocoa powder
3 table spoon of milk

So here is what I did,

Preheat the oven at 180 degree celsius.

1. I beat the melted butter with my hand mixer in a bowl. Any bowl that can withstand the beating then add the castor sugar. Beat, beat, and beatt~

2. Then add the eggs one by one. 4 eggs goes into the bowl. Beat beat beat~ (I didnt take pic of it because i was too busy beating! Hehehe!)
3. Add the vanilla essence.
4. Fold in the flour and milk consequently. Ending it with the flour.
5. Then take some of the batter out and add cocoa to the taken batter.

6. Then grease the round baking pan with butter and place the grease paper inside it.
I was cutting it so i used the shape of the bottom of it. U have to place the paper inside ok?
7. Then do a dollops with both the batter( place some here and there)
8. Then take a skewer/chopstick and make shapes. U will end up with something like the picture below.
Pre-baked marble batter
9.Put into 180 degree Celsius for 40 mins.

Its inside the ovennnnn!
Then take it, let it cool for 15 mins, cut and serve them! :D

This is what I end up getting. The outer layer was kinda burnt but then its not that bad! The batter was fully baked and moist on the inside.
This is how it looks on the inside! Its deliciouseeyy~ I trimmed the burnt part :P
So my first time baking and I didnt know it would be this much fun! With the help of the electrical hand mixer you can eventually whip up anything within an hour or two! :D

Much thanks to the Youtube channel and my mum for letting me bake alone without nagging. Hehe!
